I was surfing the net his morning and found a really funny site--- www.blogthings.com/Detroit.html
While I am not from Detroit, and odds are good you aren't either, it still might give you a giggle, or at least a moments pause as you stop and wonder is any one really like this? The answer is YES! I know people who are just like the people mentioned in this list.

Sorry for the long period of silence. I went and announced that I was finally better on the 17th and then I disappeared for almost a week. Where was I? Right here at the house playing catch up on all of the work that I fell behind on while I was sick. Now I'm all caught up, thank goodness!, and I'm back to bother you (smile).
I don't mean to set off your sweet tooth but I baked a cake yesterday. A banana cake with caramel icing from one of Paula Deen's cookbooks. It came out really nice. Moist and dense like only a homemade, bsked-from-scratch cake can. If you'd like the recipe, email me.
Have you filed your taxes yet? I've sent my stuff off to the accountant. Just waiting now to see how much more I owe the iRS.
I don't know if I've ever told you this or not, but I began doing business with this accountant when I first went into business for myself. He was just starting out too, setting up an accounting service out of his house. He came to my office, we talked, I signed on with him. That was almost 11 years ago. And I haven't seen him since! Even though he lives less than fifteen miles from me, we always take care of our business through the mail. I mail him my 'books', he does them and sends them back. It's a great working relationship. I'm not in his way, he's not in mine, and business gets taken care of!

I just finished scrolling through the last entry I made to this blog on the 31st of January. Wow! Talk about being optimstic. I said something about being back to work finally and feeling better. What a hoot. The truth is that today, the 17th of February, almost two and a half weeks later, is the first day I can honestly say I'm better. I still have a bit of a cough, but that's it. Up until today I still suffered from a bad case of the tireds and was closing down the phones early each night because I was wore out. I don't know if I had the flu or a cold, but whatever it was it beat me down something fierce.
